A COMPLETE Bass Course

This course is about turning you into a complete bass player, with the technique and musical knowledge to not only facilitate learning Reggae but also play other genres.

There are 32 video lessons dedicated to this!

I cover the technique of the plucking-hand and fretting-hand; I teach a variety of scales to support with technique and fretboard knowledge; I cover rhythmical exercises to develop you "Reggae feel"; I teach triads and arpeggios (chord tones); I teach chord progressions and what to play - etc...

If your Music Theory knowledge is limited, you will be filled with lightbulb moments!

7 Riddim Tracks

- with Licensing Rights -

Studio quality & professionally recorded Riddim Tracks

I recorded the Riddims at my studio, using only real instruments - no loops, no samples, no VSTs.

Jam along, compose your Basslines, record them, and then release the songs for the world to hear!

The Bassline can make or break a Riddim... If the drums are the backbone of the Reggae song, the Bass is the soul!

Riddim Masterclasses

Each Riddim has its own Masterclass to teach you exactly what you can play over them.

I cover a variety of rhythmic and melodic ideas you can apply to create the Bassline for the Riddims, thus giving you a real-time practical example about how a Bassline is created.

Once you understand the principles I teach in these Masterclasses, your confidence and ability to create Basslines will go through the roof!

Have a listen to the Riddims!

Note: you will also get the isolated Drum-Tracks of each Riddim, so you can jam along in any key, with any chord progression...

SEE WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING ABOUT THE COURSE

John asked me if I would give a testimonial so here is what I have to say: ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT!
John really knows how to teach... I had a handful of private lessons (many years ago...) to get me started, but John’s way of teaching is impressive, it feels like he’s in the room with you, explaining things clearly and giving me the time to learn the parts. Even my wife has complemented my playing! (never happened before...) So that says a lot! The best investment I could possibly make to improve my reggae.

I am loving the course! At first I was not sure because when I saw the ad I didn’t recognized John (I follow a bunch of YouTube bass players). But after checking the content I thought it was worth the try, and I am glad I did! John is an amazing teacher, I’ve already improved my playing, and I was blown away by the masterclass on the riddim – everything is making so much more sense now! I really appreciate this course... Thanks John!

This course is helping me sooo much... I thought I was a decent player, but after having tried to learn could you be loved I realized how much more I have improve. I like the fact the songs are organized by difficulty, so I am taking the time to go through all the songs. Its been a month since I started and I already feel like I’ve improved! 5 stars, I recommend it!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Yes, absolutely!

You don't have to worry about that. If you only have Dollars or British Pounds (or any other currency) in your bank account, the bank will automatically convert them to Euros at the present exchange rate, without charging any extra fees.

So, you pay with the currency you have in your account, and I receive the Euros.

  • This is an online course.

As soon as you make the purchase you will automatically be enrolled in the course.

You will just need to create your own password and immediately get access to the videos.

    Simple!

  • It goes without saying that you need:

    - Bass Guitar
    - Amplifier for the Bass
    - Laptop or tablet with a screen big enough to see the TABS (mobile phone not ideal...)

But you also need a pair of good speakers or headphones.

    Why?

Because the speakers on mobile phones and laptops are too small to produce the Bass Frequencies - and without it you won't be able to properly hear the bass in my video lessons.

It is better to have speakers rather than headphones to avoid having cables standing in the way of your playing and also makes it easier to hear your bass (as you won't have the headphones in your ears blocking the sound coming from the bass-amplifier)
